This is a great place to tell your story and give people more insight into who you are, what you do, and why it’s all about you.

Hello my name is John. I have double dislexia and cannot read or write at all. As a child this lead to me being bullied and labelled as naughty. I also spent alot of my childhood in childrens homes. In my 30's I began working in care homes for disabled people and fostering childern with learning difficulties. I quickly became aware of how many people with learning difficulties suffer isolation leading to lack of confidence and other such issues. It was something I felt I could relate to and felt there was a big need for this to be addressed. With a pack of biscuits and a jar of coffee I decided to see if I could start up a small group where people could meet in a safe environment and not feel jugded. We now have over 150 members. The club is something I feel very passionate about and believe it to be very important. The club provides something so simple, yet something most people take for granted, the right to feel safe, unjudged and excepted. We welcome all and hope you enjoy looking at our website. Thankyou for reading.
Recently I have won the local overall hero award and what like to give a big thank you to my family and work colleagues and anyone else who have helped me get to where I am.
